Ranarangam (English: Battlefield) is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language action crime film written and directed by Sudheer Varma. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his banner Sithara Entertainments, it features Sharwanand, Kajal Aggarwal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. It presents Sharwanand in two avatars and tells a story of a man who 'grew to become an empire himself'. The film was released on 15 August 2019.It received mixed reviews from critics.
The film is set in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam where Deva (Sharwanand) and his friends collude to sell illegal black market tickets. During this time, Deva falls in love with Gita (Kalyani Priyadarshan). When everything seems to be going fine, Deva locks horns with the local MLA Simhachalam (Murali Sharma) and enters the illegal liquor business. As expected, the game changes and a tug of war starts. Deva grows big in the trade but is still being targeted by rivals.
